Limited Liability & Indemnity
Last updated 7 September 2026.
What cannot be limited
Nothing on this page limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
It also does not affect the guarantees you have as a consumer under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Those guarantees cannot be contracted out of for a consumer purchase, and no figure on this page or anywhere else on this site caps them.
What we are responsible for
Supplying goods that match their description, are of acceptable quality, and are fit for the purpose they are sold for. If they are not, the refunds and returns page sets out what happens next.
Limits that do apply
Apart from the things above, our liability for any claim connected with goods bought here is limited to the amount you paid for those goods.
So far as the law allows we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit, or for business losses.
Buying in trade
Where you are acquiring goods for the purposes of a business and both parties agree in writing, the Consumer Guarantees Act allows its guarantees to be contracted out of. That is not how this shop sells by default: it would need to be agreed with you in writing, in advance, and it never applies to a consumer purchase.
What we do not claim
We do not state that any product on this site meets, exceeds or is certified to any standard, and we make no claim about what any product will prevent. Whether a particular piece of equipment suits a particular hazard is settled by your own risk assessment and by what the manufacturer states, not by a shop.
